This November, after Microsoft releases the fall update, loading games will be much faster on your Xbox 360.
On November 19, 2008, Microsoft will release the fall update, which will change the look and feel of the Xbox live experience. But besides the "new" avatar one can choose for their gamer tag, you will be able to upload your favorite game right onto the Xbox 360 hard drive.
This will greatly reduce the amount of load time it takes to actually play the game and the actual game play experience is significantly smoother.
Also, the less time your DVD is playing equals the Xbox 360 console itself stays cooler. Which, of course, will prevent the dreaded Red Ring of Death (RRoD).
Of course, all of this convenience comes at a price, from your hard drive. The bigger the game the more space it will require, obviously. What I plan to do is just upload the games I tend to play more frequently. Which means Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare will be the first one uploaded.
To view a demonstration, click on the videos below.
If the videos don't work click here (the Fable II upload) and click here. (the Gears of War upload).
