Brett Favre's come back has changed the plans for more than just the Green Bay Packers and the New York Jets. The most popular and successful football video game franchise, the Madden series, has produced Madden '09 with Brett Favre on the cover. Favre is sporting the usual Green Bay Packer's jersey, but why is this a problem?
Well, besides the fact he has come out of retirement, Brett Favre is now the starting quarterback for the New York Jets, that's why.
EA Sports does have a plan to fix this problem, however. Even though the company plans to ship the video game out with it's current cover design, on Tuesday the new cover, with Brett Favre wearing the Jets uniform, will be available for download. Players will be able to print and put the new sleeve in the disk cover.
Additionally, EA sports will have new downloads for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, so players will be able to play the New York Jets with Brett Favre as the starter. Unfortunately, however, EA Sports did advise that a download update would not be available for the Nintendo's Wii.
Madden 2009 goes on sell this Tuesday, August 12, 2009.
