Microsoft Robotics Studio, Free For Most Users

I must say, this is the coolest thing I've seen Microsoft do in 10 years. They have a new package called Microsoft Robotics Studio, that is free for most non-commercial users. Sure it's an attempt to gain marketshare but that's the way business works. They could be trying to charge $49 and people would still pay it.

If you're not familiar with it, MS has teamed up with 30 different partners who all support MRS. Want to program your Roomba? Get MRS and a Bluetooth controller for the Roomba and start hacking.

Life is good.

Microsoft products have pro... (Below threshold)

Microsoft products have proved themselves always, this trust can lead to fall of any consumer towards them, till date they have catered the needs of a consumer and keeping MRS free wouldn't cost them peanuts i sppuse.
