According to ilounge, Numark this week will introduce the iDJ2, a new version of the company's professional ipod mixing console. Unlike the original iDJ, the new iDJ2 features only one ipod dock, but can play two songs simultaneously from a single ipod as well as record your performance. The mixer includes an LCD screen for track-profiling and waveform display, provides real-time scratch, pitch control, looping, cue controls and also has USB and auxiliary inputs for hooking up nearly any audio source.

I know nothing about this equipment, but if this works it must beat the heck out of lugging around 100lbs of components. The guy in the next cubicle DJs on weekends and until I heard him, it never occured to me how much effort goes into setting up and tearing down equipment. Now he just uses his laptop.
